Words of Wisdom

A couple of weeks ago I went to Brinley's class for "Mom's and Muffins." The kids had made cute mothers day cards that said, "A cup of tea to say thank-you for everything you have done. Enjoy, relax, and have a day of happiness and fun!" Then at the party they served muffins and tea for all the mom's (apple juice for the kids). Brinley kinda looked at me seeing what I would do because we had talked a little bit about things that are bad for our bodies...coffee, tea, alcohol, drugs, etc. I asked for some apple juice and then got some for Brinley as well. We talked a little bit about it afterwords and how she had made a good choice to not drink tea. She was so proud of herself. It was so fun to hear her explain to Brian. "Miss Carmen gave us tea because the party and then we didnt drink it and we drinked apple juice."

A couple of weeks later Brian and the kids caught a wasp and they wanted to kill it for their bug collection. Brian kept asking where the alcohol (rubbing alcohol) was so they could kill it. They couldn't find it anywhere so Brinley said, "Well, tea will kill it."
