Things you don't want to hear when you are trying to sleep in the morning....

-"Mom, Matt is getting the phone."

-"Mom, Matt is eating all the candy!"

-"Mom, Matt is playing with the fire thing."

- Matthew- "Mom, open your eyes, time to wake up, eat seerwal (cereal), I need breasfas (breakfast), it's 3 o'clock (It's actually about 7:00 a.m. which is early for me!).

Big Trouble

Matthew has been so fun to listen to lately. Today he put a whole bunch of cars and motorcycles in the bathroom on the floor hiding under the cabinet overhang. Brian was going up the stairs just as Matthew was shutting the bathroom door.

Brian: "What are you doing?"
Matthew: "Cars big trouble."
Brian: "Your cars are in big trouble. Did they have to go to time out."
Matthew: nods head "oh."

The other day we were having our kids repeat random things. I said to Matthew say "Matthew Brian McDonald." He smiled and said, "Maffew Daddy Donald."

Also, I had been looking for the kids toothbrushes and their toothpaste that I knew I had just put on the counter. I even checked multiple times in the garbage thinking maybe they fell in. I also noticed that I couldn't find the mixer attachment to my blender. Well a couple of days ago I opened our hall closet and found a TON of stuff we had been looking for including the mixer attachment, toothbrushes, Brian's work out shorts, unders, toys, measuring cups, magazines, bills....all sorts of things. I asked Brinley how everything got in the closet and she said her and Matt were playing "Magic." I have no idea how to play magic but I do know I end up missing a lot of things....at least now I will know where to find them!

More Free Days

We love taking advantage of all the free days they have here in Denver. We went to the Museum of Nature and Science and had a good time. I wished I would have brought the stroller though because it was really quite big with a lot of walking right in the middle of nap time!! My favorite part was seeing the animals. I didn't realize how big a walrus actually was...it was seriously bigger than the bears.

A lot of work....

Brian had this huge project he was doing to get his CCIM designation in real estate. It took him A LOT of time, energy and money. You can see just how thick it is in the final pictures below.

The Zoo

We went to one of the free days at the zoo as a family. It was really fun and CROWDED! We had to park and walk about 15 minutes to get to the front entrance. The kids (Brinley, Matthew and Brian) had a blast. Brian was like a kid in a candy shop looking at all the animals and especially the reptiles. The zoo has a pretty big anaconda that eats dogs supposedly but he was hiding in the water so we couldn't see it very well.

The sea lions were a hit. They would talk or scream of whatever they do really loud and swim back and forth across the water. It was pretty fun to watch.

This monkey was one of the funnest to watch because he would swing across his cage and every time it looked liked he was going to fall.

Brian and the kids watched the apes forever. I am a little worried about what they are teaching my kids...Last time we watched the apes one picked his nose and ate it and this time they were wiping each others rear ends!

We were walking back to our car and Matthew was soooo tired. This is how he fell asleep.

That can't be very comfortable!
