Annual Catan Trip 2011- Moab, UT

Every year we go on a trip with our good friends Chris and Melanie. This year we went to Moab over Labor Day weekend. It was a pretty long drive (7 hours) but well worth it!
We went hiking up Left-Hand Canyon the first day. It was so much fun! It reminded me a lot of Zions and a kid version of the Subway. There were lots of little places to explore and walk through. At the end is a nice waterfall and a pool. We all jumped off the little cliff in the picture and the boys jumped off a 20ft wall a little to the left of the waterfall.
Matt (4) and Tate (5) turned into muddy buddy's!
Brinley (6) and Mom (29)

Addison (1), Brian (32) and Matt (4). It was such a beautiful hike!

The crew! For some reason we always started our hikes mid-day and for the most part all the kids were troopers.

We forgot the hiking backpack which was such a bummer! Luckily Addi could fall asleep on Brian's shoulder.

There was a man-made waterfall at the start of the hike.

Brinley (6) and Brindy (6). Its hard to keep these two straight!

Mid-hike pit stop to catch a crawdad.
Matthew became part lizard while we were there. He could scale anything.

Chris and the crawdad.

Brinley caught a baby lizard all by herself.

The water got pretty deep in some parts.

Brian getting ready to jump of the little cliff.

The boys played in the water and threw rocks. They started to undo the dam so we had to build it back up before we left. Day 1 topped off with a foot long subway sandwich and tired kids!

That looks like a great hike. We went to Moab a couple of years ago, but I didn't know about that hike. I guess we'll have to go back.

That looks like fun! I just realized we kinda copied one of your kids names. :)
